About Blue Mountains Concert Band

Blue Mountains Concert Band is a community-based organisation which provides practice, performance and competition experience for Concert Band musicians in the Blue Mountains and Nepean regions, west of Sydney, Australia. Three bands operate under the auspices of the Blue Mountains Concert Band.

BMCB, established in 1982, serves its community by performing at civic functions, Anzac commemorations, town fairs and other local events.
  
Mountains Youth Band, established in 2002, has grown quickly to become a significant regional youth concert band. Its membership is drawn from students in upper primary and secondary schools across the Blue Mountains and beyond. The Youth Band has a busy performance and competition schedule and has achieved many admirable milestones in its first years.

Blue Mountains Jazz Ensemble, established in 2008, provides members of Blue Mountains Concert Band and Mountains Youth Band with opportunities to extend their skills into the vast repertoire of the jazz and swing era.
