On Saturday 8th August, members of Blue Mountains Concert Band attended a special rehearsal to focus on three contest pieces of music to be performed at the NSW State Band Championships later in August.

The Blue Mountains City of the Arts Trust was created to support the local Arts industry and strengthen the cultural fabric of the Blue Mountains. The award of $7,897 to BMCB Inc. will be used to showcase Australian concert band music and Australian composers and artists in a major concert performance, Among the Gum Trees, to be held in June 2027. Mountains Youth Band: Arrive at 5:00pm for a 5:15pm - 7:00pm rehearsal.
Concert Band: Arrive at 7:15pm for a 7:30pm - 9:15pm rehearsal.
