Across the 2024 October long weekend 4th – 7th , several beautiful gardens in Leura were open to the

public as part of the Leura Gardens Festival held in the stunning Blue Mountains.

Blue Mountains Concert Band featured as guest artists in The Braes Garden on Sunday 6th October,

playing some well-known favourites Teddy Bear’s Picnic and Bohemian Rhapsody while surprising

our appreciative audience with some unexpected gems like How to Train Your Dragon and Doctor

Who. It was great to see so many visitors stopping to listen for the entire program of music that we

played as they explored the beautiful garden.

BMCB would like to thank the owners of The Braes, John and Margot Egan, for hosting us and

appreciate the efforts of the Leura Gardens Festival organising committee as funds raised across the

weekend are directed towards the purchase of equipment for the Blue Mountains District Anzac

Memorial Hospital and other local medical foundations.
