Each year, Blue Mountains Concert Band and Mountains Youth Band perform public and private Anzac Day services. This is a selection of our experiences.
Anzac Services 2022
BMCB and MYB were grateful to be able to commemorate Anzac Day in person this year.
The bands combined to perform at the Anzac Service at the Anzac Memorial in Glenbrook Panthers Bowling Club.

A Commemoration
This year, with the cancellation of services in the Blue Mountains due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the bands have created two short videos of commemorative music in the spirit of ANZAC.

2020 Driveway Dawn Service
At 6am, members of Blue Mountains Concert Band commemorated Anzac Day from their homes and driveways by performing the Last Post and Rouse on their own instruments. BMCB have played for the Blaxland-Glenbrook RSL Dawn and Morning Services for approximately 30 years; to have to stay away this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic was a blow to our commitment of service to our community.
Music is our way of upholding the memory of those who once defended us and honouring those who still do.
