Panthers Glenbrook grant for new music stands

Bands receive important funding to replace music stands

Blue Mountains Concert Band and Mountains Youth Band are delighted to have been

awarded a grant of $1,360 through the ClubGRANTS program administered by Panthers

Glenbrook. ClubGRANTS is a community funding program that provides essential

financial support to local organisations and projects. The grant will be used to purchase

new music stands to replace some of the old and damaged stands.

Music stands are integral to performance and rehearsal. We believe that our appearance

(uniform, music folders, music stands etc) is critical to maintain our reputation as a

quality provider of service to the community. Our appearance is also integral to the

quality of the service and events we support. Community musicians such as local

concert bands directly influence the community through their attitude and philosophy of

service. Band members are ambassadors of goodwill, providing music to support civic

and community events, such as supporting veterans and families at Anzac Day,

community members at local town and school fairs and fetes, and at facilities such as

aged care. This helps to build stronger, connected communities, and benefit society, and

has the potential to ensure more and more people become engaged in the Arts, including

youth who have not previously experienced community music.

We gratefully acknowledge the support received from Panthers Glenbrook and

ClubGRANTS program.
