Blue Mountains Concert Band is a community concert band based in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia.

We welcome musicians from all walks of life. Band members should be able to read and play music beyond the beginner stage. 

Mountains Youth Band, the youth division of Blue Mountains Concert Band, accepts players from 10 to 19 years of age.

Blue Mountains Concert Band Inc acknowledges and respects the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples as the past, present, and emerging Traditional Custodians of the land on which we rehearse and perform.  We value the cultural significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their continuous, deep connection to Country.

Rehearsals are held in Glenbrook on Tuesday evenings during school term.

Mountains Youth Band: Arrive at 5:00pm for a 5:15pm - 7:00pm rehearsal.

Concert Band: Arrive at 7:15pm for a 7:30pm - 9:15pm rehearsal.

St Andrews Uniting Church, Corner of Green St and Lucasville Rd, Glenbrook.

Lachlan Foster

Conductor

Lachlan Foster is a local Blue Mountains resident. He is a young music composer, educator and conductor with experience leading ensembles of all sizes.

Lachlan is well-known to our organisation. In his earlier years, Lachlan was a member of Mountains Youth Band, performing with the band on French Horn. Lachlan studied with BMCB colleague and performer, Colin Mallen. He has casually conducted Blue Mountains Concert Band and Mountains Youth Band in the past.

Lachlan has strengths in many disciplines including composition, conducting, teaching musicology history and composition, stage management, public speaking and student assessment.
